Chelsea Michener’s class is, simply put... unique. She’s never been one to follow trends and she’s always itching to go out on a limb. She loves pushing the boundaries of herself and her students, exploring the human condition, the love and passion we all share. She considers herself an artist first and foremost and encourages her students to find out for themselves what is unique and inspiring about their individuality. Some say leave it at the door but Chelsea insists that you bring it in and let your soul out!
Chelsea is an all-rounder - well versed in tap, jazz, jazz funk, ballet, hip hop, lyrical, theatre, and contemporary. A graduate of the Edge Performing Arts Center Scholarship Program in Los Angeles, she has worked for choreographers such as Tessandra Chavez, Malaya, Joelle Martinec, Sakinah LeStage, Adam Parson, Scott Hislop, Tabitha and Napoleon D’Umo and Ryan Heffington to name a few. Some of her credits include The Sing Off (Season 3), Cold Case, Dance Plug, the NAACP awards, O’Spada, Alex Kogan, Heartour, El Capitan Theatre, Disneyland and Christina Grimmie.
She has travelled to New Zealand, Sweden and Australia to assist top choreographers and is a member of Commonality Dance Company under the direction of Adam Parson. You can catch her class on Phoenix Dance Convention in New Zealand, at OneDanceEpic In-Studio Workshops all over the U.S., as well as at the Edge Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles.
